We recreate a fragment of old time for you
Every iscandle piece begins as an act of archaeology through time. We pore over 1920s craft manuals, scour flea markets and antique shops, and extract the soul of design from the worn patina of century-old objects. Not replication — reimagining.
We use only vintage-recycled brass with 65%+ copper content. Leather must be vegetable-tanned — we reject the chemical scent of chrome tanning. Wood comes from dismantled old beams, carrying fifty years of weathered cracks. Wrong materials make beautiful design hollow.
Machines chase 0.01mm precision. We chase 0.1mm imperfection — the warmth of human fingers. Forging, stitching, sanding, distressing: one artisan follows each piece from start to finish, treating it as their own possession.
We do not rush deadlines. Brass needs seven days to oxidize naturally. Leather demands three rounds of hand-rubbed color. Wood wax oil requires twelve hours to penetrate and cure. An iscandle product leaves the workshop only half-finished — its true completion arrives in your third year of use.
